Make Model - "The L.S.B." Single Review

A tad too chaotic, perhaps? I'm not one to oppose that but this just didn't hit the spot. It was all over the place and what works for CocoRosie's mellow/disturbing songs doesn't go over so well into what the Guardian described as "Exuberant, Happy, Male-Female Chaos-Pop." It's exuberant alright, but methinks it could have used a bit more work adapting from gigs to studios. What gets crowds clapping and grinning might leave the casual headphone consumer scratching their head and hitting the Next button.

I'm not holding my breath - and yet I can't help but expect something good out of this band. Maybe not with this song, but down the line, I wouldn't be surprised at all to be blown away by their collective efforts.
