I've been keeping busy with exams and spending my folks' money. So far all's well, got mint marks in the first two tests - which doesn't say much since these were the easy ones. I've still got four written exams (Romanian, History, Philosophy and Universal Literature), so keep those fingers crossed for me!

I'll try to squeeze in some reviews I've been meaning to post, but since I broke my computer and have to beg for time on dad's laptop to write them, they might have to wait till next week. If you still read this blog, you're my heroes and deserve personalised playlists and a tequila shot each. Hope you're all having summery fun! I'll join in the revelries at the beginning of July.

The Top (June 1-8)

Summer's here! Exams are upon me, but in light of my recent engagement they leave me unimpressed. Bucharest is already scorching. I think I'll miss this smell of dust and crushed leaves when I move to Copenhagen - but not much. Sun allergies are no fun at all in Eastern Europe.

On with the show.

1. Elefant

2. Morrissey

3. The Dimes

4. Tiger Lou

5. Jacques Brel

6. Nouvelle Vague

7. Thieves Like Us

8. Arctic Monkeys

9. Buckethead

10. Oren Lavie - remember him? He's still good, so don't lose him amongst your hard drive junk.

That being said, I wish you all a merry season. If you're in Romania like me, go buy your ticket for B'Estfest this week. If not, keep your money for sunscreen and mojitos.

By the way, if you're a lastfm subscriber, make sure you switch to beta. It's certainly worth it, as I've discovered in the past 3 hours of browsing. The website is easier to navigate (not that it was ever user-unfriendly) and the graphics are nicer, although the tiny font posed a few problems for my lean-back-and-try-not-to-squint method. You also get a rather nifty "top artists in the past 7 days" chart which helps predict weekly charts if you're so inclined. Have fun!

P.S.: For those who, like me, have state exams soon - relax. It won't help you study, but at least you won't have a nervous breakdown of breakup&whiskey&Nick Drake proportions. The seedy bar setting is, as always, optional.
